All furniture offered for sale is Pre-owned/Vintage/Antique and as such may have sustained various knocks, cracks, stains, dings and other age and use related marks during its previous life including old worm (which I always mention in the description and is always retreated as a precaution).

All painted furniture is hand painted, not spray painted, please do not expect to see the same flat finish that you would see in a mass produced high street shop piece. You should expect to see the odd paint drip and brush strokes according to the way it has been painted. I do not paint with a "one technique fits all", each item literally tells me how it wants to be painted (sometimes in the middle of the night!), therefore whether that be in a very rustic style or clean and flat, it will have been done to the best of my ability and in keeping with the features of the piece.

The majority of my items are also advertised on social media and various online stores and are therefore liable to be removed from the sale page without warning.

Payment Terms

I require payment in full for all items shown in the shop. Please contact me before ordering to ascertain its availability.

Should you require a courier please contact me with your post code PRIOR  to ordering so that I can obtain an accurate delivery quote.

Typically delivery via courier starts at £50 dependent on how far away you are and how large the item.

For commission work I require 50% of the quoted price before commencement of the work with the balance to be paid on completion. There are no refunds on bespoke pieces commissioned by the client.  Read more about Commissions

Delivery Terms

With space at a premium I cannot hold pieces that have been paid for and not collected within the agreed time without charging for storage. This will be £35 per week or part thereof after the agreed date of collection. There is no movement in this charge. Items should be collected within 5 days of purchase unless by prior agreement.

You are most welcome to collect your item in person from my premises in Gloucestershire - GL13. Please contact me to arrange a date and time so that I can prepare it for collection.

Alternatively you can arrange your own courier or I am more than happy to arrange one for you. If you are within 15 miles of me I can generally deliver items priced £80 or above for free - as long as the item fits in my car!

For an accurate shipping quote please contact me or your chosen courier to confirm the shipping price PRIOR  to purchase. You should pay the courier direct.

If you are arranging for a courier to collect, please ensure that they are suitably insured for transporting furniture and that they will pack the item with care as unfortunately I am unable to accept responsibility for any damages/losses that may occur in transit.

All the furniture will leave me suitably packaged but the courier should blanket wrap it and strap it in.  I do like to do my bit for the environment therefore, as far as possible I reuse bubblewrap and cardboard where possible.

Please do not use transporters such as Parcelforce or MyHermes, they are not dedicated furniture couriers - your item may well get damaged in transit.

If arranged, please note that you are accepting these terms and are completely responsible for your item the moment it is handed to the courier. Any compensation for breakages or loss should be claimed from the courier only.

Typically the courier is a 1 man door to door service, as such please make sure that there is suitable help at your premises for heavier items and that you do actually have space for your item.

It is usual to pay the courier direct on receipt of the goods.

Kindly also note that any courier arrangements made on your behalf by myself are Ex Gratia the contract of sale and therefore are non refundable. Please also be aware that the cost of returning the item may not be the same as delivery costs.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

All of my items are checked that they are in good order before they leave me.  I am unable to accept responsibility for it once it has left me. However, if it arrives damaged you should first contact the courier and then contact me to let me know what has happened and I will do what I can to help you rectify the problem.

Returns & Refunds

I am unable to accept returns or issue a refund should you purchase direct from me having seen the item and then change your mind at a later date. However, if you have purchased via distance purchasing - ie you have not had the opportunity to see the item in person first, you have 14 days from the date of the sale to contact me and 28 days from the date of sale to return it to me in the same condition that it left my premises.

The buyer is responsible for all return courier charges, please be aware that the cost of returning it may be more than the cost of delivery. It should be sent back re-packaged properly in the original packaging where possible. The item should be returned using a reputable courier or in person or signed for/tracked should it be small enough.

Should the item be small enough to return in the post, it should be sent via recorded/tracked delivery. I cannot be held responsible for items lost in the post. Refunds will only be issued once the item has returned safely to my premises and been inspected.
