A very pretty Edwardian solid Mahogany Drop Leaf Console/Library Table on brass castors. The legs are supported by a moulded stretcher. It has been hand painted in a pale lavender chalk paint with some distressing.

The whole piece was clear waxed before having dark wax and gilding added in relevant areas to highlight. The top has been given depth and character with random brushwork and more dark waxing. The drop leaves are held in place by curved supports which pull out underneath the table.

As you would expect in an item of this age there will be age related knocks and dings which just add to the character of the piece. This little table makes a perfect statement piece in a country inspired setting and would look lovely in a variety of rooms or a hallway.
